The Bulldogs ended their season on a high note with a Region 7-AAAAA victory Thursday on the road.
Central ends its season at 13-13 overall and 11-9 in the region.
Reed Clark got the win while Parker Morrison earned a save.
Hunter Bauman had the big hit for the Bulldogs with a bases-clearing double.
Lambert 6, Chattahoochee 2
The No. 1-ranked Longhorns completed an undefeated regular season with a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Thursday on the road.
Lambert improved to 26-0 overall and 14-0 in the region.
Harrison Lee pitched three shutout innings to get the win, while Turner Scruggs worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the seventh to earn the save.
Ian Kimbrell led the Longhorns at the plate going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Will Dunavant was 2-for-2 with two runs scored.
Centennial 7, South Forsyth 1
The War Eagles saw their season come to an end Friday with a Region 6-AAAAAA loss on the road.
South finished at 10-17 overall and 5-9 in the region.
Walker qualifies for Sectionals
Forsyth Central’s Hannah Walker finished fifth overall at the Region 7-AAAAA tournament Thursday at Bentwater Golf Club in Acworth.
Walker shot an 82 to finish as the low individual and advance to the Class AAAAA girls sectional at Canongate Golf Club in Sharpsburg on May 5.
Cambridge won the region title with a score of 225.
West Forsyth 157, Alpharetta 159
Robert Shaw shot a 38 to lead the Wolverines to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Wednesday at the Alpharetta Athletic Club.
Dru Adams and Drew Ridings each shot 39, while Michael Cross shot a 41.
West returns to action Monday when it hosts the West Forsyth Wolverine Invitational at Echelon. The field of teams includes Creekview, Greater Atlanta Christian, Johns Creek, Lambert, Marist, Milton, Norcross and Pinecrest Academy.
North Forsyth 19, Darlington 14 (OT)
Rachel Hedjuk had five goals and the Lady Raiders ended their season on the right note with a non-region victory Wednesday on the road.
North finished the season at 7-10 overall.
West Forsyth 29, Meadowcreek 0
The Wolverines dominated Friday in a non-area game at home.
West improved to 7-9 overall this season.
The Wolverines’ 29 goals marked a season-high, and the win was West’s first shutout of the season.
The Wolverines return to action Wednesday at Johns Creek in their area and season finale.
Pinecrest Academy 3, North Forsyth 0
Stephane Rivard had a hat-trick and the Paladins ended their regular season strong with a non-region victory Wednesday on the road.
No. 5-ranked Pinecrest improved to 14-2-0 overall, capping a regular season in which the Paladins won their first region championship since joining the Georgia High School Association.
Pinecrest earned a bye in the Class A tournament and will play the winner of Providence Christian-Pace Academy at home on May 6.
North ended its season at 3-14-1.
Rivard’s hat-trick was his fourth of the season, and he got assists from Alex Brenner, Logan Hamilton and Greg Metz.
Paladins goalkeeper Luke Del Balzo earned the shutout with five saves.
