GIRLS BASKETBALL

Chestatee 54, Forsyth Central 31

GAINESVILLE – Maria Hansen had nine points but the Lady Bulldogs dropped a non-region game Tuesday on the road.

Central dropped to 0-7.

Lambert 57, South Gwinnett 43

SNELLVILLE – M.E. Craven had 19 points as the Lady Longhorns cruised to a non-region victory Tuesday on the road.

Molly Williams added 10 points for Lambert (6-0).

Pinecrest Academy 45, Fellowship Christian 40

Regina Metz scored 18 points as the Lady Paladins earned a Region 6-1A victory Tuesday at home.

Margaret Metz added 14 points for Pinecrest (5-1, 2-0).

West Forsyth 52, Milton 40

MILTON – Abby Quincy scored 22 points as the Lady Wolverines opened Region 5-7A play with a win Tuesday on the road.

Kalie Schlegel added 11 points and eight rebounds for West (3-1, 1-0).

Other scores: Collins Hill 76, South Forsyth 43.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Forsyth Central 58, Chestatee 39

GAINESVILLE – CJ Smith had 14 points as the Bulldogs cruised to a non-region victory Tuesday on the road.

Hunter McDonald added 12 points for Central (3-3), while Ethan Hester had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Creekside Christian 45, Horizon Christian 43

Daniel Durnwald had 14 points but it wasn’t enough as the Warriors dropped a region game Tuesday.

Pable Merrero added 11 points, while Andrew Leonard had 10.

South Gwinnett 63, Lambert 57

SNELLVILLE – The Longhorns’ four-game winning streak ended Tuesday in a non-region loss on the road.

Lambert dropped to 4-2 overall.

Fellowship Christian 60, Pinecrest Academy 42

Caleb Bohn had 14 points but the Paladins dropped a Region 6-1A game Tuesday on the road.

Daniel Duke added 13 points for Pinecrest (0-6, 0-2), while Ben Gobbel scored 11 points.

Collins Hill 78, South Forsyth 54

Evan Cole had 26 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks but it wasn’t enough as the War Eagles dropped a non-region game Tuesday at home.

Sebastian Mallory added 11 points for South (3-5).

Milton 75, West Forsyth 48

MILTON – Braden Albright had nine points but the Wolverines dropped their Region 5-7A opener Tuesday on the road.

West (1-3, 0-1) led 17-16 after the first quarter, but Milton led 38-27 at the half and took control from there.

Eagles senior and Duke signee Alex O’Connell led all scorers with 26 points.
