Forsyth Central 4, Dalton 1

Parker Morrison made an early lead hold up as the Bulldogs won the first game in best-of-three Region 7-AAAAA championship series Wednesday at home.

Central (20-4) can clinch its second straight region title with a win tonight on the road. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30.

Morrison scattered nine hits in seven innings for the Bulldogs, allowing just one earned run with four walks and six strikeouts.

Taylor Bauman had a home run and RBI, Robbie Repasz had a double and RBI, Wade Smith had an RBI, Daniel Henderson went 2-for-3 while Hunter Bauman, Pierce Nufer and Luke Sutko each added a hit.

Lambert 5, Northview 4

JOHNS CREEK – The Longhorns withstood a late rally to earn a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Wednesday on the road.

Zach Graveno got the win for Lambert (20-5, 16-1), allowing one unearned run on no walks and six hits while striking out eight in six innings.

Will Gabbert went 2-for-3 with an RBI, Harrison LeBlanc had a hit and two RBI while Kyle McCann and Parker Scruggs each added a hit and RBI apiece.


Forsyth Central 18, Southwest DeKalb 1

Josh Allen had three goals as the Bulldogs cruised to a non-area victory Tuesday at home.

Christian Neubert added three goals and an assist for Central (5-10, 1-7), while Jack Meeks, Mathew Johnson and Luke Bailey each scored two goals apiece.

The Bulldogs also got goals from Wes Bacastow, Cohen Holton and Ronnie Muratori.

Blessed Trinity 15, Pinecrest Academy 5

Carson Holler had two goals but it wasn’t enough as the Paladins dropped an Area 3-A/AAAAA game Tuesday at home.

Garrison Winter added 12 saves for Pinecrest (6-8, 1-6).


Forsyth Central 16, Wheeler 6

Ansley Balberde scored six goals as the Lady Bulldogs cruised to a non-area victory Wednesday at home.

Elizabeth Pirello and Lexee Burgess scored three goals apiece for Central (4-10, 2-10 Area 3-A/AAAAA). Maria Hansen had two goals, and Madison Goldberg and Caitlyn Schneible had one goal each.

Lambert 12, Chattahoochee 11

JOHNS CREEK – Jenna Humphries scored the game-winner in overtime as the Lady Longhorns upset the No. 4-ranked Lady Cougars in an Area 3-AAAAAA game Tuesday on the road.

Humphries finished with two goals and an assist for Lambert (10-5, 9-4). Peyton Smith had three goals and three assists, and Ali Wilson added two goals and an assist.

Morgan Berman made 10 saves in goal, while Cloe Latini had four draw controls and four groundballs.

Other scores: GAC 13, Pinecrest Academy 12.


Fellowship Christian 4, Pinecrest Academy 1

ROSWELL – Gabe Villar scored a goal but it wasn’t enough as Pinecrest dropped a Region 6-A game Tuesday on the road.

Villar scored for Pinecrest (9-7, 6-2) in the second half.


Fellowship Christian 3, Pinecrest Academy 0

ROSWELL – The Lady Paladins fell behind early and couldn’t recover in a Region 6-A loss Tuesday on the road.

Pinecrest (8-8, 6-2) surrendered two first-half goals against No. 1-ranked Fellowship, then allowed the third late in the second half.


Lambert 3, Collins Hill 0

The Lady Longhorns cruised to a first round victory in the Class AAAAAA playoffs Tuesday at home.

Lambert advanced to play Westlake on Monday at 4 p.m.

The Lady Longhorns got wins from Brenna Reilly and Madison Benefield at No. 1 doubles and Lyndsey Pullman and Vanessa Schrils at No. 2 doubles.

Caroline Wakefield survived an early scare at No. 2 singles, falling behind 4-0 in the first set before storming back for a 6-4, 6-0 win.
