The Bulldogs had their two-game winning streak snapped Monday in a Region 7-AAAAA loss on the road.
Central fell to 7-7 overall and 5-4 in the region.
Taylor Bauman led the Bulldogs at the plate with a double and a home run. Michael Branigan and Josh Meese each had two hits, while Parker Beiderer added two RBIs.
Reed Clark took the loss for Central.
Lambert 16, Chattahoochee 1
The Longhorns dominated in a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Monday at home.
Lambert improved to 12-0 overall and 3-0 in the region.
Senior starting pitcher Dylan Biumi got the win, his third of the season, while Seth Beer and JD Dutka each had a home run.
Jake Chickowski had two hits and three RBIs.
Centennial 3, North Forsyth 1
An untimely error cost the Raiders a Region 6-AAAAAA game Monday on the road.
North fell to 8-5 overall and 2-2 in the region.
Centennial took the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth inning with two unearned runs.
Alpharetta 2, South Forsyth 0
One defensive miscue was the difference for the War Eagles in a Region 6-AAAAAA loss Monday on the road.
South fell to 3-10 overall and 0-3 in the region.
Will Foy took the loss despite throwing six solid innings allowing just three hits and two unearned runs, both on a South throwing error in the bottom of the second that allowed two Alpharetta runners to score.
Jack Litras led the War Eagles at the plate going 2-for-3.
Johns Creek 3, West Forsyth 2, 8 inns.
The Wolverines’ nine game winning streak came to an end Monday in a Region 6-AAAAAA loss on the road.
West fell to 10-2 overall and 2-1 in the region.
Johnny Cassandra appeared to be the hero for the Wolverines. The senior pitched seven-plus solid innings and broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the eighth with an RBI hit.
But the Gladiators responded with two runs, both unearned, in the bottom half of the eighth for a walk-off win.
Chris Cullen had three hits for the Wolverines, while Brett Anderson added two hits.
Horizon Christian 8, Peachtree Christian Academy 4
Jake Fussell did it all for the Warriors in a region win Monday.
Horizon improved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the region.
Fussell led the Warriors at the plate with a bases-clearing triple in the fourth inning. Fussell also got the save with two scoreless innings and five strikeouts.
Daniel Meyers earned the win, pitching five strong innings while striking out six.
Covenant Christian 5, Killian Hill 4
The Rams won their fourth straight in a big GCAA conference game Monday.
Stafford Quinnelly got the win for Covenant, striking out 14 in a complete-game performance.
Isaiah Arnold led the Rams with three hits, including two doubles, and an RBI.
Toby Sims and Jack Ward each had an RBI.
Lambert finishes top 3 at Big Red
The Longhorns had an impressive showing at the Big Red Invitational on Monday at Chattahoochee Country Club.
With a stableford scoring system, Lambert finished third out of 16 teams with 146 points, just behind first place Gainesville (155) and runner-up Lovett (147).
Jake Fendt led the Longhorns with 40 points.
Jordan Baker had 37 points, Campbell Fisher scored 35 points and Spencer Ball had 33 points.
South finishes third at Kell Classic
The War Eagles had an impressive performance at the Kell Classic on Saturday at Eagle Watch Golf Club in Woodstock.
South finished behind winner Harrison and runner-up Etowah. It was the sixth top 5 finish for the War Eagles this season.
Junior Nick Mineo led South with a 5-over par 77. Freshman Cameron Stokes shot a 79.
West finishes 9th at tourney
The Wolverines finished ninth out of 17 teams at the West Hall Invitational on Saturday.
West shot a team score of 329.
Wolverines senior Dru Adams finished fourth out of 102 golfers with a team-best 75 and was named to the all-tournament team.
West freshman Connor Pollman shot an 80.
Lambert 17, Druid Hills 1
The Longhorns rebounded from a tough loss with a dominating Area 3-AAAAAA performance Monday at home.
Lambert improved to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in the region.
Junior Sean Doyle led the Longhorns with three goals. Junior Daron You added three goals and won 12 of 14 facelifts, while freshman Grant Plaugher also had three goals.
Senior Chase Plaugher saved eight of nine shots.
The win followed a tough 10-9 loss to Lovett, the No. 5-ranked team in Georgia according to Laxpower.com, on Saturday in the AJO4 LaxFest.
Seniors Shawne Carruthers and Spencer Wilson and junior Hunter Shepherd each had two goals, while sophomore Hayden Barnes added a goal.
Pinecrest Academy 4, George Walton Academy 1
The Lady Paladins snapped a five-game losing streak with a Region 6-A win on the road.
Pinecrest improved to 4-5-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the region.
Northview 4, Forsyth Central 3
The Bulldogs lost a Region 7-AAAAA game at home Monday despite an impressive performance by Grant Butschek.
Central fell to 0-9 overall and 0-7 in the region.
Butschek, a senior, scored all three goals for the Bulldogs.
Pinecrest Academy 9, George Walton Academy 3
The Paladins won their fourth straight with a dominating Region 6-A win Monday on the road.
Pinecrest improved to 8-2-0 overall and 4-1-0 in the region.
