Pinecrest had four players finish in double digits Wednesday as the Paladins knocked off No. 1 seed North Cobb Christian, 84-56, in the second round of the Region 6-1A Private tournament.
Sophomore Oscar Lynch had 16 points, including three 3-pointers, while senior Hank Lynch added 15 points and six rebounds. Senior Caleb Bohn scored 12 of his 14 points on four 3-pointers and sophomore JJ Hayes finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Tony Carpio had nine points, six rebounds and two blocks, junior Charlie Soukup finished with seven points, and senior Josh Boeye chipped in six points, six assists and five rebounds.
Pinecrest (15-11) will face Mount Pisgah at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the semifinal game at King's Ridge Christian. The two teams split their regular-season series, with Mount Pisgah winning in overtime, 71-65, on Dec. 7 and Pinecrest getting revenge last month with a 59-56 home win.
