GIRLS BASKETBALL

Forsyth Central 52, Sprayberry 44

MARIETTA – Caroline Hearn scored 25 points as the Lady Bulldogs earned a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B victory Tuesday on the road.

Julie Richards added 18 points and 17 rebounds for Central (5-10).

Lambert 50, Johns Creek 42

Molly Williams had 19 points to lead the Lady Longhorns to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home.

Lambert (10-6, 6-3) also got 10 points from Ashley Johnson.

Pinecrest Academy 59, Whitefield Academy 50

MARIETTA – Margaret Metz had 30 points as the Lady Paladins earned a Region 6-A victory Tuesday on the road.

Regina Metz added 10 points for Pinecrest (8-4).

West Forsyth 36, Chattahoochee 24

JOHNS CREEK – Jane Ortlip had a team-high 11 points as the Lady Wolverines earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

Jenna Staiti added 10 points for West, while Kalie Schlegel had seven.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Sprayberry 73, Forsyth Central 57

MARIETTA – Cale Jackson had 26 points but it wasn’t enough as the Bulldogs dropped a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B game Tuesday on the road.

Parker Biederer added 11 points for Central.

Lambert 64, Johns Creek 53

Connor Mannion and Ross Morkem each had a double-double as the Longhorns earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home to take sole possession of first place.

Mannion had 28 points and 14 rebounds for Lambert (14-2, 9-0) while Morkem finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Whitefield Academy 71, Pinecrest Academy 59

MARIETTA – Zayne Rice had 16 points but it wasn’t enough as the Paladins dropped a Region 6-A game Tuesday on the road.

Adam Rocko added 15 points for Pinecrest, while John Crone had 14.

Chattahoochee 51, West Forsyth 38

JOHNS CREEK – Jay Magee had a team-high 13 points but the Wolverines dropped a Region 6-AAAAAA game Tuesday on the road.

Kyle Draffin added eight points for West (3-11).
