Lambert 14, Peachtree Ridge 3: The Longhorns stayed perfect on the season Tuesday with a non-region win at home.
Lambert improved to 8-0 overall.
Dylan Biumi earned the win on the mound for the Longhorns, and he got plenty of help at the plate. Lambert erupted for nine runs in the first innings, all with no outs. Ian Kimbrell had the big hit with a bases-clearing triple.
J.D. Dutka had two doubles and Trey Logan added two hits.
West Forsyth 16, South Forsyth 8: Monica Martelli reached a milestone Tuesday and helped the Lady Wolverines win an Area 3-AAAAAA victory on the road.
Martelli led West with five goals, including the 100th of her career. Martelli also had an assist.
Erika Cross had four goals and two assists for the Lady Wolverines, McKinley Puckett had four goals, Channing Milford scored two goals and Sarah Grady had a goal and an assist.
West goalkeeper Kara Duclos had eight saves.
Lambert 4, Wheeler 0: The Longhorns continued their strong play this season with a non-region win at home.
Cooper Coughlin and Mitch Fandos each scored two goals for Lambert (6-2-1, 1-1-0 Region 6-AAAAAA).
Jalen Williams, Zane Ziegler and Logan Willis each had assists.
Defenders Sean Langley, Zack Davis, Rob Bonet, Matt Elliott, Cameron Bennett and Andrew Bartle helped the Longhorns post their fifth shutout of the season.
South Forsyth 3, Lanier 2: The War Eagles crept closer to getting back to .500 with a non-region win Tuesday on the road.
Lucas Clari led South (4-5-0, 1-1-0 Region 6-AAAAAA) with two goals, while Jonathan Heyman added two assists.
Fellowship Christian 3, Pinecrest Academy 2 (OT): The Paladins lost a heartbreaker Tuesday in overtime in a Region 6-A game on the road.
Pinecrest (4-2-0, 2-1) led 2-0 in the second half on goals by Alex Brenner and Lucas Perez, but after the game was delayed when a Fellowship player went down with an injury things unraveled.
Fellowship scored soon after play resumed in 60th minute and then again with 1:38 left in regulation on a penalty kick. Pinecrest gave up the game-winner just 20 seconds into overtime.
The Paladins out-shot Fellowship, 33-18.
Lambert 5, Wheeler 0: The Lady Longhorns rebounded from a tough loss Friday with a dominant win Tuesday in a non-region game at home.
Bailey Frederking and Catie Colbert each scored a goal in the first half that ended with Lambert (4-4, 0-2 Region 6-AAAAAA) up 2-0.
The Lady Longhorns out-shot Wheeler, 32-0.
Emily Haugen had two assists while Laura Cooper and Maddie Eddleman each had an assist.
South Forsyth 3, Lanier 0: The Lady War Eagles got back on the winning track Tuesday with a solid non-region win on the road.
Rachel Shah scored all three goals for No. 7-ranked South (6-2-0, 1-1-0 Region 6-AAAAAA).
Goalkeepers Hannah Goudy and Leanna Hendrix combined on the shutout.
West Forsyth 2, North Forsyth 1: The Lady Wolverines broke a three-game losing streak Tuesday with a crucial county and Region 6-AAAAAA win at home.
Alyssa Robertson scored a goal for West (2-4-0, 1-2-0) with an assist by Landen Bowman, while Brooke Pirkle added another goal on a penalty kick.
Alexis Bartsch, Abby Davis, Carsen Parker and Chloe Tyler led the Lady Wolverines’ defense.
Fellowship Christian 6, Pinecrest Academy 0: Without six starters the Lady Paladins couldn’t takedown a Region 6-A opponent Tuesday on the road.
Pinecrest (3-3-0, 1-1-0) were out-shot, 31-2.
Forsyth Central 5, Sprayberry 0: The Bulldogs cruised Tuesday to a Region 7-AAAAA victory at home.
Trent Callan, Riley Snow and Cameron Hand swept the singles matches, while Tyler Baldwin and Hugo Marquez won at No. 1 doubles and Logan Davisson and Ashton Melton won at No. 2 doubles.
Central improved to 6-4 overall.
Johns Creek 3, West Forsyth 2: The Lady Wolverines dropped a close Region 6-AAAAAA match Tuesday on the road.
West fell to 5-3 overall and 1-3 in the region.
The Lady Wolverines got victories from Emma Niemi at No. 1 singles (2-6, 6-1, 7-5) and Tara Harper at No. 3 singles (1-6, 7-6 (5), 1-1 (retired)).
South Forsyth 3, Centennial 2: The Lady War Eagles edged the Lady Knights for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday.
Centennial forfeited No. 3 singles, which meant Kavinya Kathiravan’s 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles and Meredith Oess and Morgan Chichester’s 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles was enough for South.
