GIRLS BASKETBALL

Forsyth Central 57, North Atlanta 27

Abbey Fagan had 18 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs to a Region 7-AAAAA victory Friday at home.

Mina Asabre added 14 points for Central (3-2, 2-0), while Julie Richards had 11.

Lambert 35, Northview 27

JOHNS CREEK – Kara Kidwell had eight points as the Lady Longhorns got their first Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.

Molly Williams added seven points for Lambert (3-3, 1-2). Leah Cote and Kylee Beecher each had six points.

Pinecrest Academy 75, Kings Ridge 35

ALPHARETTA – Margaret Metz had 27 points and the Lady Paladins cruised to a Region 6-A victory Friday on the road.

Pinecrest (3-2, 1-1) led 51-15 at halftime. Regina Metz added 14 points as nine Lady Paladins players in all scored.

South Forsyth 69, Centennial 54

Sarah Myers had 27 points and the Lady War Eagles cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday at home.

KK Storms added 15 points for South (6-0, 3-0). Shelby Threlkeld had 11 points, and Ally Welch scored 10.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Forsyth Central 51, North Atlanta 50 (OT)

Hunter McDonald hit the game-winning basket with 10 seconds left in overtime as the Bulldogs earned a Region 7-AAAAA victory Friday at home.

Cale Jackson led Central (3-2, 1-1) with 22 points. Braden Ragsdale added 14 points.

Horizon Christian 61, North Georgia Christian 45

FLOWERY BRANCH – Josiah Laws had 16 points and the Warriors cruised to a non-region win Friday on the road.

Michael Walker pulled down 15 rebounds for Horizon (3-0). Tyler Logan had 15 points, while Jared Hamby added 10.

Lambert 70, Northview 47

JOHNS CREEK – The Longhorns cruised to their fourth straight win in a Region 6-AAAAAA contest Friday on the road.

Lambert improved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the region.

Pinecrest Academy 55, Kings Ridge 54

ALPHARETTA – Ryan McCarthy hit two free throws with 0.9 seconds left to lift the Paladins to a Region 6-A victory Friday on the road.

McCarthy and Sean Flanigan led Pinecrest (2-2, 1-1) with 15 points each. John Crone added 14 points.

Centennial 57, South Forsyth 54

Zach Sewing had 14 points but the War Eagles lost a Region 6-AAAAAA game Friday at home.

Matt McCorkle and Chandler Strall each had 10 points for South (0-6, 0-3). Evan Cole had nine points, and Thomas McClellan had five points and 11 rebounds.
