Pinecrest Academy 64, Walker 29

The Metz sisters were at it again for the Lady Paladins in a Region 6-A, Div. B victory Tuesday at home.

Margaret Metz led Pinecrest (11-6, 4-2) with 22 points, while Regina Metz had 21.

South Forsyth 70, Alpharetta 29

Sarah Myers led 10 scorers with 21 points as the Lady War Eagles cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home.

KK Storms added 10 points for South, which improved to 15-2 overall and 10-0 in the region.

West Forsyth 45, Habersham Central 22

CORNELIA – The Lady Wolverines used a dominant defensive effort for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

Jenna Staiti led West (14-3, 9-2) with 23 points while Jane Ortlip added 13.


Kell 66, Forsyth Central 44

The Bulldogs fell behind early and never recovered in a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B loss Tuesday at home.

Central (5-13, 2-4) trailed 25-8 after the first quarter and 43-15 at halftime.

Horizon Christian 87, Johnson Ferry 57

Jared Hamby and Michael Walker combined for 53 points as the Warriors cruised to a win Tuesday at home.

Hamby scored a game-high 29 points, while Michael Walker had 24 points to go along with 15 rebounds. Ty Logan added 17 points.

Walker 72, Pinecrest Academy 70

Ryan McCarthy had a monster game with 17 points and 15 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough for the Paladins in a Region 6-A, Div. B loss Tuesday at home.

Pinecrest dropped to 6-11 overall and 2-4 in the region.

The Paladins started strong taking a 23-14 lead after the first quarter, but Walker responded to take a 39-38 halftime lead and 61-54 lead after the third quarter.

West Forsyth 55, Habersham Central 46

CORNELIA – The Wolverines mounted a second-half comeback for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

West (7-9, 3-7) trailed 27-23 at halftime but outscored the Raiders 32-19 over the final two quarters for the win.

Jimmy Staiti led the Wolverines with 17 points and 10 rebounds, Cam Macer had 14 points and five assists while John Patterson added six points and nine rebounds.
