Forsyth Central 8, Sprayberry 6

MARIETTA – Taylor Bauman went 3-for-3 with a triple and RBI and the Bulldogs got a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B victory Monday on the road.

Reed Clark got the win for Central (4-4, 3-1), striking out 11, while Parker Morrison earned the save.

Logan Howard added a home run for the Bulldogs.

Cambridge 17, North Atlanta 0

ATLANTA – Hayden Onorato went 2-for-5 with three RBI and the Bears cruised to a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B victory Monday on the road.

Austin Weiermiller, Parker Currier and Jake Swiacki combined on a one-hitter for Cambridge (3-5, 3-4).

The Bears also got strong performances from Nick Sieverts (2-for-3, two RBI) and Michael Viafora (2-for-4, 2B, two RBI).

Lambert 9, Alpharetta 2

JD Dutka got it done on the mound and at the plate for the Longhorns in a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Monday at home.

Dutka allowed six hits, two earned runs and struck out seven in five innings to get the win for Lambert (5-2, 2-1). At the plate, the senior went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.

Other strong performances for the Longhorns came from Ian Kimbrell (1-for-3, 2B, three RBI), Jeremy Johnson (2-for-4, 2R, 3B) and Nick Guimbarda (2-for-3, R, 2B).

North Forsyth 5, Centennial 1

ROSWELL – Caleb Dixon struck out five batters in five innings to help the Raiders get a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Monday on the road.

Dixon allowed just three hits to get the win for North (5-3-1, 3-0), the fourth straight for the Raiders, while Jacob Cherry got the save.

Griffin Caracciolo and Brant Stark each had two hits for North.

Trion 2, Pinecrest Academy 1

TRION – Jake Mangan struck out six in six innings but the Paladins dropped a Region 6-A, Div. B game Monday on the road.

Pinecrest (3-6, 2-2) led 1-0 after four innings but Trion scored runs in the fifth and sixth innings and held on for the win.

Ryan McCarthy went 1-for-3 for the Paladins.

North Cobb Christian 8, St. Francis 1

KENNESAW – Matthew Fezza went 1-for-2 with a double but the Knights dropped a Region 6-A, Div. B game Monday on the road.

Jules LaCoste went 1-for-3 with a double for St. Francis (5-5, 1-3), while Riley Spearman drove in the Knights’ lone run on a sacrifice fly.

South Forsyth 5, Habersham Central 4

MT. AIRY – The War Eagles (3-4, 2-1) held on for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory on the road Monday.

Northview 7, West Forsyth 6

JOHNS CREEK – The Wolverines dropped a tough Region 6-AAAAAA game Monday on the road.

It was the second straight loss for West (3-5, 2-2) after falling 6-3 to North on Saturday in a game that was originally scheduled to be played Friday.

BOYS LACROSSE

Forsyth Central 14, MLK 1

Seven different players scored and the Bulldogs cruised to a non-area victory Monday at home.

Ryan Fitzpatrick led Central  (3-2, 2-2 Area 3-AAAAA/A) with three goals and two assists. Justin Aspenson also had three goals.

The Bulldogs also got strong performances from Wesley Bacastow (three assists, seven faceoff wins), Grant Allen (two goals, nine faceoff wins), Josh Allen (two goals) and Christian Neubert (two goals).

Will Brunson and Harlan Stokes each added a goal for Central.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Dunwoody 13, Pinecrest Academy 9

Alek Tilkin had four goals but it wasn’t enough for the Lady Paladins in a non-area loss Monday at home.

Sarah DiFazio added three goals and two assists for Pinecrest (3-2, 2-0 Area 3-AAAAA/A). Mariana Bohn and Eunji Cho each scored a goal for the Lady Paladins.

BOYS SOCCER

Lambert 2, Wheeler 0

MARIETTA – Mac Shirley had two goals and the Longhorns got a non-region victory Monday on the road.

Cameron Bennett and Zane Ziegler had the assists for Lambert (5-3, 2-1 Region 6-AAAAAA).

GIRLS SOCCER

Lambert 6, Wheeler 0

MARIETTA – Keely Cartrett and Maggie Hanusek scored two goals apiece and the Lady Longhorns cruised to a non-region victory Monday on the road.

Briarly Beauchamp and Olivia Haugan also scored goals for Lambert (7-1, 3-0 Region 6-AAAAAA).
