GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lambert 38, Alpharetta 26

ALPHARETTA – M.E. Craven had 10 points as the Lady Longhorns used their defense to earn a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.

Ashley Johnson had a solid overall game for Lambert (5-5, 3-3), contributing six points, seven rebounds and eight steals.

Shayna Lawrence added seven points.

North Forsyth 55, Northview 39

JOHNS CREEK – Amber Jones was on fire for the Lady Raiders as they held on for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.

Jones had a team-high 21 points on seven 3s for North (3-5, 2-3).

Morgan Grindle added 14 points, six assists and five steals.

South Forsyth 63, Johns Creek 44

JOHNS CREEK – Sarah Myers had 27 points and the Lady War Eagles cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.

Mari Jonassen added 10 points for South (6-1).

BOYS BASKETBALL

Lambert 73, Alpharetta 58

ALPHARETTA – Matt Ganote scored 20 points and the Longhorns remained undefeated with a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.

Connor Mannion added 19 points and 17 rebounds for Lambert (9-0, 5-0), while Austin Deckard had 13 points.

Saint Francis 90, Pinecrest Academy 50

ALPHARETTA – The Paladins couldn’t keep up with the vaunted Knights in a Region 6-A loss Friday on the road.

John Crone and Santi Villar each scored 11 points for Pinecrest (4-4).

North Forsyth 65, Northview 62

JOHNS CREEK – The Raiders battled back from a 24-point deficit in the third quarter to earn a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.

Chad Bureau led North (3-5, 2-3) with 27 points, while Conner Stephenson added 10.

Johns Creek 68, South Forsyth 39

JOHNS CREEK – Joe Brandon had 13 points but it wasn’t enough as the War Eagles dropped a Region 6-AAAAAA game Friday on the road.

Tyler Elliott and Santhosh Saravanan each added seven points for South (2-6, 1-4).
