DAHLONEGA – Cooper McCann had two RBI but it wasn’t enough as the Longhorns dropped a non-region game Monday at the University of North Georgia.
Zach Keenan suffered the loss for Lambert (1-2), allowing three runs over three innings with three strikeouts. Aidan McAllister pitched two innings.
Josh McAllister had one of the Longhorns’ seven hits, but they were undone by four errors.
North Forsyth 11, Duluth 0
DULUTH – Evan Johnson went 2-for-2 with two RBIs as the Raiders earned a non-region victory Monday on the road.
Tyler Fairchild got the win for North (5-0), tossing five shutout innings while allowing just two hits, one walk and striking out four.
Carter Mullikin (1-2, 2R, RBI) had a triple, while Nicky DalMolin (1-2, R, RBI) and Chopper Thronson (1-2, R, 2RBI) each had a double.
The Raiders also got standout performances from Tyler Sheley (1-1, 2R, RBI, 2BB) and Dawson Rickett (2-3, R).
Pinecrest Academy 10, Galloway 1
Ben Gobbel went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored as the Paladins cruised to a non-region victory Monday at home.
Caleb Bohn got the win for Pinecrest (4-0), allowing no earned runs over four innings.
The Paladins have won nine straight games dating back to the end of the last season.
Buford 5, West Forsyth 0
LAWRENCEVILLE – The Wolverines managed just three hits in a non-region loss Monday at Coolray Field, the home of the Atlanta Braves’ Triple-A affiliate Gwinnett Braves.
Hank Flood suffered the loss for West (3-2), allowing five runs, none earned.
Zach Burns, Bryar Hawkins and Cade Pruitt each had one hit for the Wolverines.
BOYS LACROSSE
North Forsyth 13, Jupiter Christian 4
JUPITER, Florida – Mason Jolley had four goals and two assists as the Raiders cruised to a non-area victory Monday on the road.
Christopher Smith added three goals and an assist for North (x-x, 0-1 Area 5-6/7A), while Chase Chapman had two goals and two assists, Tanner Robinson had two goals and an assist, Anthony Herock scored a goal and Jaiden Prosser added an assist.
Shaun Herock was 16-for-17 on faceoffs and added a goal, while Nathan Glaudio made four saves in goal.
West Forsyth 18, Chattahoochee 6
Jimmy Martelli had four goals and an assist as the Wolverines cruised to an Area 5-6/7A victory Monday at home.
Chad Zapp added three goals for West (2-0, 1-0).
