Lambert 4, Forsyth Central 0

Marissa Guimbarda was almost unhittable as the Lady Longhorns remained perfect in Region 5-7A with a victory on the road.

Guimbarda allowed just two hits and struck out three over seven innings for Lambert (18-3, 12-0).

The Lady Longhorn’s Rachel Cowart added a solo home run.

Central dropped to 7-14 overall and 3-9 in the region.

North Forsyth 7, Milton 1

MILTON – Bella Caracciolo went 3-for-4 with a stolen base, home run and two RBI as the Lady Raiders cruised to a Region 5-7A victory Thursday on the road.

Sara King got the win on the mound for North (11-7, 6-6), allowing no earned runs on six hits with no walks and eight strikeouts over seven innings.

King also got in on the long-ball fun, blasting a solo home run, as did Mallorie Black. Ansley Payne went 3-for-4 with two RBI.


South Forsyth 3, Johns Creek 1

Amanda Nugent had 20 kills and the Lady War Eagles earned a non-area victory Thursday at home.

Lily Kincaid added 12 kills for South (24-13, 5-0 Area 5-7A), while Hannah McGlockton added seven to go along with a team-high 17 assists and six digs.

The Lady War Eagles got contributions from Erin Yeatman (16 digs, seven assists), Savian Jordan (12 digs), Olivia Heiser (nine assists, six digs) and Nyah Pacely (14 assists, five digs).
