PREP ROUNDUP: South volleyball wins Sequoyah Classic

South Forsyth volleyball was perfect on its way to winning the Sequoyah Classic on Saturday.

The Lady War Eagles (9-0) never lost a set in wins against Rockdale (25-12, 25-14 and 25-14, 25-21), Creekview (25-19, 25-14), tournament host Sequoyah (25-20, 25-22) and Pope (25-14, 25-7).

Leaders for South were Rachel Croce (32 digs, 27 kills), Jordan Hawk (21 kills), Kelli McCravy (94 assists), Hannah Shanley (28 digs, 23 kills) Taylor Svehla (22 kills) and Tory Wright (37 digs).

West volleyball exits early at Forsyth Challenge

The Lady Wolverines were eliminated by North Hall in the first round of bracket play in the Forsyth Challenge on Saturday.

West (2-2) finished pool play in the morning with a 25-13, 20-25, 12-15 loss to Fellowship Christian and a 25-21, 27-25 win against Mountain View before losing 26-24, 18-25, 9-15 to North Hall.

West was led by Gabby Bachner (28 assists), Jaz Berry (18 kills, six aces), Shelby Lance (17 kills, five blocks), Jordan Leitch (29 assists, eight aces) and Chloe Tyler (30 digs).
