MARIETTA – Margaret Metz had 18 points to lead the Lady Paladins to a Region 6-A, Div. B victory Tuesday on the road.
Maddie Lynch added 14 points for Pinecrest (10-5, 3-2).
South Forsyth 75, Alpharetta 42
ALPHARETTA – Mari Jonassen led four Lady War Eagles in double figures with 18 points as South cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.
Sarah Myers added 17 points for the Lady War Eagles (13-4, 10-0). Emily Dreslinski scored 15 points, while Zoe Maisel had 12.
West Forsyth 53, Habersham Central 40
Jenna Staiti had a team-high 16 points as the Lady Wolverines earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home.
Kalie Schlegel added 10 points for the West (12-3, 10-0), while Jane Ortlip scored nine points and Brooke Pirkle had eight points.
Other scores: Kell 41, Forsyth Central 34 (OT).
BOYS BASKETBALL
Walker 49, Pinecrest Academy 40
MARIETTA – Zayne Rice had 13 points but it wasn’t enough as the Paladins dropped a Region 6-A, Div. B game Tuesday on the road.
Pinecrest (8-9, 1-5) led 23-22 at halftime, but Walker out-scored the Paladins 12-4 in the third quarter to take control.
Alpharetta 55, South Forsyth 35
ALPHARETTA – Evan Cole had 16 points but it wasn’t enough as the War Eagles dropped a Region 6-AAAAAA game Tuesday on the road.
South (7-10, 3-7) fell behind 16-7 after the first quarter and never recovered.
West Forsyth 48, Habersham Central 45
John Peterson had a team-high 13 points as the Wolverines earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home.
West (4-12, 2-8) trailed 27-24 at halftime but orchestrated the comeback thanks in part to Kyle Draffin, who scored 11 points, and Isaiah and Jay Magee, who each added eight points.
