North Forsyth wrestling set a new record for dual victories in a season Wednesday.
The Raiders defeated Lassiter, 53-21, in a non-area match on the road. The win improved North’s duals record to 38-7, eclipsing the previous best mark set last season.
The Raiders got pins from Chase Tenety at 106 pounds, Brandon Welsh at 113, John Papineau at 126, Shane Cross at 145, Chad Warner at 152, Jordan Cross at 170 and Zach Smith at 285.
Luke Slaton won a 5-0 decision at 132, while Tanner Buggs and Austin Thornton won major decisions at 160 and 195, respectively.
North returns to action Saturday in the Gladiator Duals at Johns Creek.
Lambert 45, Mountain View 22: The Longhorns cruised to a non-area victory Wednesday at home.
Lambert (21-6) got pins from Eric Diemert at 106, Matthew Sheetz at 113, Eric Kohlins at 138, Mark Werner at 160 and Jack Carmichael at 220.
Andrew Morin won a 7-2 decision at 120, Daniel Morin won an 11-8 decision at 138, JD Straight won a 5-0 decision at 152, Joey Salgado won a 7-2 decision at 170 and Logan Wood won a 6-0 decision at 195.
The Longhorns return to action Tuesday at Class AAA duals champion Buford.
South Forsyth splits: The War Eagles split duals matches with a pair of defending state champions Wednesday at Jefferson.
South lost 59-12 to Jefferson, who has won 12 straight state dual titles and 13 straight state traditional titles.
Felipe Hayes and Julian Escobedo got pins at 138 and 285, respectively.
The War Eagles won 31-27 over Woodward Academy, the defending Class AAA traditional champion.
The War Eagles return to action tonight at Sham Slam VIII at Habersham Central.
