South Forsyth at Northview

When, where: Tonight, 7:30 p.m., at Northview Stadium in Johns Creek.

Records, rankings: South is 5-0, 4-0 in Region 6-AAAAAA and unranked in Class AAAAAA; Northview is 3-2, 2-2 and unranked.

Series history: South leads 6-1.

Last meeting: South won 33-8 in 2014.

What to know: Northview couldn’t handle gold. Let’s see how it likes silver.

After falling 28-7 at home to West Forsyth, Northview will host South—a team that has, to this point in the season, looked very similar to West. Both teams have passers who established themselves early in the year in Hamilton and Davis Shanley. Both have plenty of receiving options, strong runners, and mix up a spread attack.

If West could handle the Titans at home, logic seems to suggest South should too. Northview has an emerging local star in sophomore running back Emeka Nwanze, while the quarterback situation between starter Paul Miller and backup Colton McDaniel could, like last week, derail the Titans if one of them doesn’t take ownership of the offense. Miller was benched at halftime against West after an erratic start.
