Two Gainesville residents were accused of trafficking heroin after the seizure of more than $27,000 in drugs, according to authorities.

Brittany Nicole Grizzle, 23, and Gilbert Alexander Hill, 53, were charged with possessing with intent to distribute and traffick heroin. Both were booked Wednesday in to the Hall County Jail, where they remain.

Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad agents investigated Hill and Grizzle at a residence in the 2000 block of Pine Circle Drive in Gainesville.

The agents said the two were in possession of 5 ounces of heroin in different bags, less than a gram of methamphetamine, 7 alprazolam pills and a gram of marijuana.

Agents also reportedly recovered two semiautomatic pistols — a 9 mm and a .380 — along with digital scales, packaging materials and smoking devices.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $27,575.

The pair were also charged with possession of methamphetamine, alprazolam, marijuana and a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Alprazolam is commonly seen as the drug Xanax.
