Forsyth County students are invited to a college fair on Tuesday.
The Georgia Education Articulation Committee’s Fall 2012 PROBE Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Lanier Technical College Forsyth Conference Center, 7745 Majors Road.
The fair is free and open to high school students and their families. It is one of 58 stops on the fall 2012 tour being held at schools and other venues throughout the state.
The fair will feature more than 100 colleges and universities ranging from state schools to private institutions throughout Georgia and several other neighboring states.
According to a news release, the committee’s mission is to stimulate interest in post-secondary education by bringing together students, parents, counselors, administrators and representatives of post-secondary educational institutions which include colleges, universities and technical colleges.
Bill Smith, executive director, said in a statement that the fair provides “a single location for students and their families to learn about a variety of colleges and universities.”
“This makes it easier for students to find a school that meets their needs,” he said.
