FRIDAY NIGHT STARS: Jordan Brunson carries South with four touchdowns in season opener

Here are some of the best Forsyth County High School football performances from this past Friday.

THE BEST

Abe Camara, West Forsyth

Senior receiver/defensive back caught five passes for 121 yards – including a long of 85 yards – and two touchdowns in the Wolverines’ loss at Camden County.

Jordan Brunson, South Forsyth

Junior running back had 26 carries for 194 yards and four touchdowns in the War Eagles’ win at Sprayberry.

Honus Wagner, North Forsyth

Senior strong safety was pressed into two-way duty after Bryson Trigg exited with an injury in the first quarter and played 120 snaps, taking 12 carries for 56 yards and recording a tackle for loss, a QB hurry and a blocked extra point in the Raiders’ loss to Cherokee.

Stephon Bland, West Forsyth

Wolverines senior, in his first game as a full-time tailback at the varsity level, had 113 yards on 25 carries, with a long of 29 yards, in West’s loss at Camden County.

Jamal Camp, South Forsyth

Senior defensive lineman had four tackles, with two for a loss and 1.5 sacks, as well as six QB pressures in the War Eagles’ win at Sprayberry.

Keith Fehr, South Forsyth

Junior offensive lineman graded out at 88 percent with six pancake blocks in the War Eagles’ win at Sprayberry.

Jax Weaver, South Forsyth

Junior linebacker had nine tackles, including five solo, in the War Eagles’ win at Sprayberry.

Grant Scalia, North Forsyth

Senior linebacker had five tackles, with one for a loss, along with a QB hurry and fumble recovery in the Raiders’ loss to Cherokee.

Gallil Guillaume, Lambert

Senior defensive lineman had seven tackles, including three for a loss and ½ sack, in the Longhorns’ loss to Wheeler.

Harrison Stang, Lambert

Junior offensive lineman graded out at 91 percent with six knockdowns in the Longhorns’ loss to Wheeler.

John Thompson, Lambert

Senior receiver had nine receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown in the Longhorns’ loss to Wheeler.

Solomon Gates, Forsyth Central

Sophomore running back rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ win over Chamblee.

Devon Taylor, Forsyth Central

Junior running back rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ win over Chamblee.

Jackson Leak, Forsyth Central

Senior linebacker had 10 tackles in the Bulldogs’ win over Chamblee.
