SOFTBALL

Cambridge 2, Forsyth Central 0

MILTON – The Lady Bulldogs couldn’t overcome Cambridge starting pitcher Keara Napoli’s dominant performance in a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B loss Thursday on the road.

Central (5-6, 3-3) struck out 15 times against Napoli and managed just two hits against the sophomore by Lexi Bump and Skylar Caine.

North Forsyth 21, Centennial 0

Ashley Barton, Angelina Coleman and Kyleigh Grace each drove in three runs and the Lady Raiders cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Thursday at home.

North (6-7, 5-3) poured on the offense in the first inning and collected 15 hits in the game. Amber Jones and Autumn Musgraves added two hits each.

Courtney Walls earned the win allowing just one hit over three innings while striking out three.

South Forsyth 12, Alpharetta 4

ALPHARETTA – Maddie Clawson went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and the Lady War Eagles earned a Region 6-AAAAAA win Thursday on the road.

South (9-2-1, 7-1) won its fourth straight.

Katherine Huey got the win allowing two hits, three runs (one earned) in five innings while going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

The Lady War Eagles also got strong performances from Kara Bilodeau (2-for-4), Emily Harris (3-for-5, two RBI) and Bianca Mora (1-for-3, 2B, RBI).

West Forsyth 10, Habersham Central 2

MT. AIRY – Peyton Erb was 3-for-4 with a stolen base and three RBIs as the Lady Wolverines cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Thursday on the road.

Alana Frye went 3-for-3 with two RBIs for West (7-5, 5-3), Kayla Hardy went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and Paighton Roushey was 3-for-3 with a stolen base, RBI and two runs scored.

Kelly Carpenter got the win pitching six strong innings.

VOLLEYBALL

Forsyth Central sweeps

Amber Walsh had 11 kills and 16 digs and the Lady Bulldogs defeated Alpharetta (25-22, 25-18) and Dacula (25-11, 25-16) in non-area matches Thursday on the road.

Emma Gore added eight kills for Central (9-4). Amber Waddell had 20 digs, Liepa Vaicekaviciute had nine of the team’s 27 aces and Taliyah Manning added three blocks.

Horizon Christian wins

Cassie Prausa had five kills, 11 digs and two blocks and the Lady Warriors defeated Fideles Christian (25-10, 25-19, 25-14) on Thursday.

Cassie Markle had a team-high seven kills. Evelyn Parker added five kills, three blocks and two aces.

Tiffany Jackson led the team with 25 digs, while Kaitlyn Loesel added nine digs and four aces. Audrey Clanton had a team-best 20 assists to go along with two aces.

Lambert falls at Sequoyah

CANTON – Ashley Cruise had nine kills for the Lady Longhorns in a 25-19, 16-25, 25-19, 15-11 loss in a non-area match Thursday on the road.

Savannah Beer added seven kills for Lambert (7-10). Kendal Barrett had 19 assists, and Jordyn Moellering had 15 digs.
