BASEBALL

Lambert 13, Chattahoochee 2

Darius Foster went 2-for-2 with two runs scored, a home run and three RBI as the Longhorns cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory in five innings Tuesday at home.

Ben McCurley got the win for Lambert (11-5, 7-1, allowing two earned runs on three hits in four innings. He got plenty of help as Lambert scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning to take control.

Lambert also got standout performances from JD Dutka (2-for-3, 2B, two RBI) and Josh McAllister (1-for-2, 2B, two RBI).

BOYS LACROSSE

Pinecrest Academy 7, Forsyth Central 5

Adam Guard scored four goals and the Paladins overcame a halftime deficit to defeat the Bulldogs in an Area 3-AAAAA/A game Tuesday on the road.

Carson Holler added two goals for Pinecrest (2-6, 1-4) and Mitchel Ojeda scored one.

North Forsyth 14, Meadowcreek 3

Chase Chapman had three goals and two assists as the Raiders won their third straight in a non-area game Tuesday.

Garrett Patterson added three goals for North (5-5, 0-4 Area 3-AAAAAA), while Jack Connaughton had two goals and an assist.

North also got goals from Brady Grindle, Patrick Scales, Sam Grogan, Quinn Lewis and Tate Hester.

BOYS SOCCER

Lambert 4, Northview 1

Zane Ziegler had two goals and the Longhorns earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home.

Lambert (10-3, 6-1) also got goals from Cameron Bennett and Matt Elliot for its seventh straight victory.

Pinecrest Academy 5, King’s Ridge 1

ALPHARETTA – Logan Hamilton had two goals and the Paladins cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

Pinecrest (6-3, 5-1) also got goals from Christian Girard, Greg Metz and Rico Victoria.

Other scores: Centennial 2, South Forsyth 0.

GIRLS SOCCER

Northview 1 (3), Lambert 0 (1)

The Lady Longhorns lost 3-1 in penalty kicks to suffer a Region 6-AAAAAA loss and snap an 11-game winning streak Tuesday at home.

No. 2-ranked Lambert (11-2, 6-1) outshot Northview 8-2 in regulation and overtime but couldn’t capitalize.

North Forsyth 2, Habersham Central 0

Lochlain Corliss and Kristina Evans each scored goals and the Lady Raiders got a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home.

Makena Britt had an assist for North (5-9, 1-7), while Emily Graves recorded the shutout in goal.

Pinecrest Academy 5, King’s Ridge 1

ALPHARETTA – Mary Margaret Metz had two goals and the Lady Paladins earned a Region 6-A victory Tuesday on the road to clinch a home game in the first round of the Class A private school playoffs.

Pinecrest (5-5, 4-2) opened up the second half with four goals in a five-minute span to take control of the game.

South Forsyth 2, Centennial 1

ROSWELL – Jenna Vollrath and Elena Zang had one goal each and the Lady War Eagles held on for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

No. x-ranked South improved to 12-2 overall and 6-1 in the region.

Chattahoochee 2 (5), West Forsyth 1 (3)

The Lady Wolverines lost 5-3 in penalty kicks and dropped a Region 6-AAAAAA game Tuesday at home.

Brooke Pirkle scored the lone goal for West (6-7, 3-4).
