Pinecrest Academy girls tennis cruised to a 4-1 victory Thursday at Fellowship Christian in a non-region match on the road.

The Lady Paladins improved to 3-2.

Christina Aufleger won a tight 9-8 (7-3) match at No. 1 singles. Claudia Szlek won 8-6 at No. 2 singles, and Maggie Herd won 8-3 at No. 3 singles.

Kate Massengill and Natalie Parr won 8-6 at No. 2 doubles, while Julieta Flores and Catherine Ann Birozes lost a close 8-6 match at No. 1 doubles.


Fellowship Christian 3, Pinecrest Academy 2: The Paladins dropped a close non-region match Thursday on the road.

The Paladins fell to 2-3.

Adam Rocko won 8-5 at No. 1 singles, while Garret Witt won 8-3 at No. 2 singles.

Pinecrest lost two close matches in doubles. Trey Wood and Juan Montero and John Paul Hoover and Connor Irlbeck lost 9-7 at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles, respectively.
